Korean American Story honors Sandra Oh

KoreanAmericanStory.org Honors Golden Globe Award Winner and Primetime Emmy Nominee Sandra Oh, With Its Trailblazer Award at its Fifth Annual Gala

Dumbfoundead and Thomas Park Clement will also be honored at the KoreanAmericanStory.org Gala on May 5th, 2015 at the Tribeca Rooftop.

KoreanAmericanStory.org will be presenting Golden Globe Award winner and Primetime Emmy Nominee Sandra Oh with its inaugural Trailblazer award at KoreanAmericanStory.org’s Fifth Annual Fundraising Gala on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, starting at 6pm at the Tribeca Rooftop. Dumbfoundead and Thomas Park Clement will also be presented with Trailblazer awards. “We are very excited to give our first Trailblazer Awards to actor Sandra Oh, hip-hop artist Dumbfounded, and entrepreneur and humanitarian Thomas Park Clement. As Korean Americans, their pioneering contributions in cinema, music, and business have blazed the trail to inspire future Korean American generations to come,” said HJ Lee, President of KoreanAmericanStory.org.

The Fundraising Gala will be emceed by Emmy Award winning TV reporter and co-anchor of ABC News Nightline, Juju Chang, and highlight the organization’s efforts to preserve the history and culture of Korean Americans living in the United States through initiatives such as the Legacy Project, its signature series that captures on video the Korean American experience through personal interviews. The event will also feature a rap performance by Rekstizzy, live and silent auctions featuring a dinner at Jean-Georges Restaurant hosted by Kimchi Chronicles star Marja Vongerichten, and experiential stories from the Trailblazer Award winners.
