‘Power’ Starz Network takes on NYC with ‘Hang W/’ app

Vine, IG, Venmo…etc., etc., are all apps that allow you to share brief glimpses of your activities with your friends, family and fans but I’ve yet to see anything as impactful as Hang W/. The app allows you to broadcast live from your phone and I have to admit…this is dope!

Recently, 50 Cent and the cast of “Power” from the Starz Network, broadcasted a whole days promo run via the app and gave fans a unique insight into what it’s like to be out truly grinding! Check out a quick clip here via HangWith.com!

Live-streaming video app Hang w/ was the exclusive streaming platform in collaboration with board member 50 Cent broadcasting an entire day of promo for the upcoming 2nd season of the Starz Network Original series Power. Live streamed from the NYC bus tour to the red carpet premier and surprise concert Hang w/ brought exclusive live footage straight to their over 2 million users.

The Hang w/ app connects people through live-streaming video and simultaneous chat, allowing anyone with an iPhone, iPad or Android device to broadcast live to dozens, hundreds or even millions of viewers around the globe.

Event Recap:

50 Cent and the Cast of Power (Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, Lela Loren, Joe Sikora) took to the streets of NYC on a double decker tour bus to promote the upcoming 2nd season of Power premiering June 7th. The entire day’s events were powered by Hang w/ – streamed live for fans to view on their mobile devices.

Starting in Times Square, the cast ventured south to the Time Warner Center for an in-store meet & greet where select Power fans were able to interact with their favorite Starz stars. At it’s final stop the Power Tour Bus ended at the Best Buy theatre with a red carpet screening of the Power’s first episode. The highlight of the night was a surprise exclusive Hang w/ performance from 50 Cent streamed live to app users. 50 was joined to the stage with guests Jeremih, Elle Varner, Joe, MGK, Lloyd Banks and members other of G-Unit.

Additionally, earlier that day Hang w/ captured some great footage of 50 Cent and the Cast of Power atop the tour bus alongside Hot 97’s Angie Martinez. As well as a few moments with 50 of the mic promoting Power. (hangwith.com)
