Childish Gambino ‘Awaken, My Love’ debuts at number 1 on Billboard

Childish Gambino (@donaldglover) continues to take heads and his latest offering is atop the charts at 1, 2 and 5 on Billboard. His forever song “Redbone” brought so much funk and honored the innovators so well, his new move could be changing the focus of R&B once again. With 30 million streams to date, the album’s lead single ‘Redbone’ reached #1 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 Chart this past week and has reached the top #5 on the Viral 50 Chart in the U.S., UK, Australia, Brazil, Canada and more. Currently receiving support from six U.S. radio formats, ‘Redbone’ is also being added to the BBC Radio 1 Playlist in the U.K. this week.
