GRAMMY winner Miri Ben-Ari releases new single ‘Freedom’ featuring Nelson Mandela

On the third anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s death (December 5th) GRAMMY Award-winning violinist Miri Ben-Ari paid tribute to the late activist, releasing “Freedom” featuring soundbites from the Nobel Peace Prize winner’s historic freedom speech on the steps of Cape Town City Hall in 1990.

With the blessing of the Mandela estate, Ben-Ari infused her own melody with Mandela’s powerful speech and South Africa’s national anthem. Throughout her career, Ben-Ari has advocated to educate and empower others to fight against racism and discrimination through the power of music. She serves as a “UN Goodwill Ambassador of Music.”
