Usher and Jermaine Dupri Battle for Charity on ‘Do or Dare’ Debut

Facebook Watch premiered the celebrity competition show, Do or Dare. From the producers of Lip Sync Battle and executive producer LeBron Jamesthis show dares celebrities including Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo, Terrell Owens , Candace Cameron-Bure and more to complete over-the-top challenges while raising money for a charity of their choice.

In the first episode of Do or Dare, Grammy Award Winners Usher and Jermaine Dupri battle it out in a series of hilarious dares for charity, from Sumo wrestling to making layups with groceries for a chance to win $25,000 for their charities, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Ushers foundation, Usher’s New Look.

This holiday season, a brand-new show is daring some of the world’s biggest celebrities to do some good. SpringHill Entertainment has teamed up with Matador Content, the creators of Lip Sync Battle, for the original series Do or Dare, a one-of-a-kind celebrity competition show that raises money for charity premiering December 15th on Facebook Watch.

Hosted by comedian James Davis, each episode will feature two of today’s top celebrity contestants – from Grammy Award winners Usher and Jermaine Dupri to superstar athletes like CC Sabathia and Terrell Owens and members of the Emmy-winning cast of VEEP andFuller House – as they face off in a series of ridiculous dares. The series’ hilarious slate of jaw-dropping dares includes everything from crawling through a maze of mousetraps to going head-to-head with a sumo wrestler and even getting waxed by their opponent. In return, they’ll each receive $25,000 for the charity of their choice. Over the course of the season, $500,000 will be raised for charitable organizations. In addition, viewers will be able to donate directly to any of the featured charities via the Do or Dare show Page while they watch.

The 10 half-hour episodes will release every Friday on Facebook Watch, Facebook’s new platform for shows. People can add episodes to their Watchlist and view the show’s trailer by following the Do or Dare show page.
