New Video: Saint Malo releases visual for new single “Soldier”

Shortly after the release of his successful debut album, “Wild Wild West,” Compton rapper Saint Malo released the visual for “Soldier.” The new song features collaborative work from Cocc Pistol and the accompanying visual was directed by Joshua Valle.

The video follows a Bonnie and Clyde kind of love story between the rapper and leading lady, Jodie Joe, a popular fashion model known for her work with the Fashion Nova brand and more. “Soldier” comes off of the album Wild Wild West, via the Music Life label in association with Empire Distribution.

While the visual and single are shaking up the airwaves on the West Coast, the project is also a series of good music and great collaborations. “Wild Wild West” is helmed by Grammy Award-winning producer, Street Symphony. It features work from artists such as Tdot illdude,  Kevin McCall, Lester Shaw and of course Cocc Pistol.

Originally from Compton, CA, Saint Malo is a west coast rapper, songwriter, producer and label CEO. Malo, a nickname given to him by a friend meaning “bad boy” in Spanish, launched his Los Angeles based indie label in 2012 with flagship artist (and younger brother) Hitta J3.

Saint Malo’s storytelling rhymes detail his own previous hardcore lifestyle and the life of those growing up around him. The pain is real, the emotion is real and most importantly the triumphs and victories are real.
