Sketch-comedy Variety Show “The Majah Hype Show” Premiered Today, November 7 And BET’s First-ever Sneaker Debate Show “Colorways & Toeboxes” To Premiere Thursday, November 8
BET Networks expands its digital programming slate with two new series “The Majah Hype Show” and “Colorways & Toeboxes.” This November, BET Digital will have viewers laughing in a “Majah” way. The digital sketch comedy series “The Majah Hype Show” starring the “King of Caribbean Comedy” Majah Hype launches Today, November 7 at 3 PM ET. The new sneaker debate web series “Colorways & Toeboxes,” launching Thursday, November 8 at 5 PM ET, will showcase the most talked-about topics in sneaker culture. BET’s original web series expansion comes on the heels of an impressive Year-Over-Year growth, up +138% in video streams across BET’s O&O site, apps, and social properties*. Both series will be available across BET’s digital properties including BET.com, YouTube, Facebook and the BET Now App.

The “King of Caribbean Comedy” of Majah Hype is bringing his comedic take on trending topics and current social commentary in the news to the digital original variety series “THE MAJAH HYPE SHOW.” Joined by a rotating ensemble cast of fellow comedians,Majah will treat viewers with a mix of original sketches, social media influencers and celebrity guests including Shiggy, Mr Commodore, Ken Starzz, Meme Simpson and BET’s “Hustle In Brooklyn’s” Azia to create the ultimate digital comedy party. On the first episode, Mr. Peterson shows us how to never pay bills again, Professor teaches us weed-rolling etiquette, and Dr. Berger learns the pitfalls of being a dentist in Brooklyn. “Colorways & Toeboxes” launches Thursday, November 8 at 5 PM ET
BET’s first-ever digital sneaker show, “Colorways & Toeboxes” will have our resident sneakerheads debate and put a spotlight on current news, trends, and styles of sneakers. The weekly half-hour series will feature special guests, athletes, and industry executives who will give their unique perspectives on the hottest sneakers of the week. Additionally, every episode will feature a throwback segment where the hosts will discuss a past style and why it was hot or not.
