Jane Handcock is GLOWED UP in New Video for “My N*gga”
Brilliant R&B singer/songwriter Jane Handcock just released the beautifully-crafted visual for her latest single, “My N*gga,” and it’s clear the Oakland songstress knows what real love is about. As the protégé of multi-Grammy winner Raphael Saadiq (who producer behind her early mixtapes), Ms. Handcock already has a star-studded list of writing credits to her name. Over the last few years she’s taken her writing game into the spotlight as she comes into her own as a singer and solo artist. Her recent singles like “647” and “Woopty Woop” are leaving a lasting impression on everyone who hears them, and there’s no doubt this latest visual will do the same.
As Jane explained in a recent interview, she only writes from real experiences — everything she does is authentic. “I was raised to believe that you never talk about what you haven’t been through and I’ve taken that belief subconsciously into my music. I don’t write about things I haven’t been through, so even when I’m writing for somebody else, I tap into them FOR REAL.” The lyrics on “My N*gga” make it clear that this young artist already knows a thing or two about real-life relationships, and we can’t wait to hear more of her reflections on the topic.
