“Give Me One Chance” .. This can and does have so many meanings. At the heart of the lyric it’s simply about not judging a book by it’s cover, or even one chapter. We can all mess up, have a rough couple of months, take a small sidestep that leads us down an unknown path for a bit, say something we don’t mean .. and like a good book, these can all just be suspenseful chapters that chronicle the protagonist’s journey only to have them come out the other end, a winner, a good person, rich, in love, and well, just on top.
