Mavericks Capture 10th Straight At Home

The Dallas Mavericks beat the Magic 101 to 76, and in the process, they pick up their tenth win in a row last night (Dec 1oth, 2018) at home against the Orlando Magic. Harrison Barnes led the Mavericks in scoring with 19 points and added five rebounds while rookie point guard Jalen Brunson scored 17 points, four assists, and three rebounds in the absence of Dennis Smith Jr, who missed his second straight game with a wrist injury.

The Mavericks bench had a solid outing by scoring 42 points with Dwight Powell leading the way with 16 points and collecting three rebounds. As for the rookie sensation Luka Doncic, he nearly had a triple-double with seven points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists.

Jonathon Simmons led the Magic with 18 points and captured three rebounds, while Aaron Gordon added ten points, three boards, and two assists. After the game, he spoke about what it was like playing against Luka Doncic for the first time. “He is good man, and very skilled. He definitely belongs in this league, and he is going to be a good player for years to come.

Side note:

Mo Bamba did not play because he violated a team rule. “it’s just a  one-game thing and he will play Thursday, but that was it, said Magic’s coach Steve Clifford.

Dallas next game will be against former Maverick Vince Carter and Rookie of the Year candidate Trae Young, on Wednesday, December 12th, at the American Airlines Center.
