Smash Global VIII: Night of Champions was an extravagant event with the honoring of 4 individuals who have made a significant impact in the world of combat sports. Dolph Lundgren, Lou Ferrigno, “Sugar” Shane Mosley and Mickey Rourke received a lifetime achievement award during SMASH VIII. For the first time ever, SMASH Global crowned its first ever set of World Champions. The evening showcased 4 CHAMPIONSHIP bouts featuring fighters from Trinidad, Brazil, Ukraine, Russia, Japan and USA. The hashtag for the night was #SMASHBULLYING, and also in attendance were Smash Global’s Charitable Partner: The Collective Access. The Collective Access is on a mission to give kids access to resources that will expand their minds, opportunities, and dreams.

SMASH Global produces extravagant events showcasing professional MMA fighters, creating the most exciting black tie entertainment in the world. They give the sport of mixed martial arts what it deserves: The class and luxury of boxing, the raw excitement of professional MMA, and the extravagance of a black-tie gala into one can’t-miss experience. Previous honorees have included Hollywood Icon Mel Gibson, Legendary Boxing Trainer Freddie Roach, UFC Hall of Famers Tito Ortiz and Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, Martial Arts Action Star Steven Seagal, and Boxings Hardest Puncher Earnie Shavers. Live, professional MMA fights are held in a full-sized 24’ x 24’ cage, and sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission. The winners move one step closer to their place in MMA history, and the audience have a front-row seat for all the action.

With an MBA, an MS degree and extensive professional fighting experience, Orosco is uniquely equipped to lead and manage a mixed martial arts (MMA) events organization.
