Who is: Kayla Cariaga

A singer and songwriter in the pop music and alternative genres, Kayla Katelyn Cariaga is described as an up-beat creative with an ability to turn anything acoustic and add a spark to the sound.  Singing since age four, she found a passion for using her voice which lead to her passion for music and the arts. At 10, she learned how to play the piano as well as experimented with writing poems. Her poetry soon turned into songwriting and the desire to be a musician was born.

At the age of 12, Kayla would release two singles, Everything, and Snow Flakes. She followed up with her debut EP Memories, in 2015.  In March 2016, she dropped her third single Stars Around and has gone on to work worth some of the music industry’s talented songwriters such as “Jackie’s Boy” from Universal Music Group as well as collaboration with legendary musician Richie Cannata from Billy Joel’s band on a single titled Rule the World which was released on June 9, 2017.

Her performance resume spans the country with stops throughout Orange County, Rockland County, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Texas. Her top performance events have been at Comic-Con in Long Beach, California, the New York City Marathon, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

With the support of her family, Kayla is currently studying at SUNY Purchase while balancing her recording and performing career. While pursuing her education, Kayla has remained dedicated to her craft and fans and has recently received music distribution deals in the U.S. and abroad. Her last single Gone has received a lot of attention and is a great leaping pad for her second EP, which will consist of six songs, to be released on Friday, March 15, 2019.
