Los Angeles Sparks Sign Loryn Goodwin

LOS ANGELES (March 28, 2019) – Sparks Executive Vice President and General Manager Penny Toler announced today the signing of guard Loryn Goodwin, who most recently played for Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv in Israel. In 11 games with the club, Goodwin averaged 13.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.9 steals per game.

“I’m excited to have Loryn Goodwin join us in camp,” Toler said. “Loryn gives us depth at the guard spots and is a hard worker. I’m looking forward to seeing how her skills will fit in with our core group of players.”

Goodwin, who is a native of Amarillo, Texas, was drafted 18th overall in 2018 by the Dallas Wings. After starting her collegiate career at North Texas, Goodwin played her senior season at Oklahoma State University, where she averaged 20.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game and led her team to the second round of the 2018 NCAA tournament.
