Ukrainian Super Star Tina Karol Talks Bringing Her Brand of Soul to America

Multi-platinum selling superstar Tina Karol is one of Europe’s best-known names. She’s now making her way to North America by way of Bentley Records and taking the continent by storm! The owner of six gold and platinum albums, Karol is one of the highest regarded entertainers from her region of the world and now has begun her foray into the American music realm bringing her soulful voice and message of love and unity to an eagerly awaiting audience.

Splitting her time between the United States and as a judge and mentor on “The Voice Ukraine” her schedule is intense but according to her comments in our conversation quite satisfying. She feels quite the responsibility in taking a hand in the careers of young hopefuls as they navigate the maze that is the music business and she completely understands the journey. Karol made her breakthrough in 2005 as the winner of international pop singer contest “New Wave.”

In 2006, Karol would go on to represent her country in the Eurovision Song Contest and in 2007 went on to win “Best Female Artist” at the Ukranian Music Awards. The fact is, Tina Karol has made such an impact as an artist in Europe that in 2014, she was the subject of an award-winning documentary “Tina Karol. The Power of Love and the Voice” which took the “Best Documentary” prize at the 10th Annual Action On Film International Film Festival (USA).

Tina Karol returns to season 9 of The Voice Ukraine in 2019 as a seasoned judge who’s teams have logged multiple wins over the course of the series.

The Hype Magazine caught up with Karol for a brief conversation in between appearances to discuss her new adventure here in America and her new partnership with the famed New York imprint Bentley Records. Tune in!
