Packtavists ft. Quando Rondo – Slide

The Packtavists teamed up with buzzing Atlanta rapper Quando Rondo for their third single “Slide” produced by Niz Da Don & Jbo of the EarDrummers.Their laid back yet distinct lyrical style which they dub “Stoner Trap” has put them in the spotlight creating a genre and lane of their own.

When asked how the collaboration came about Icarus explains “We just hit his line and he loved the record so he hopped on it.” The Atlanta duo, who recently toured with Lil Durk and Yella Beezy, has been touching stages internationally as they gear up for the Fall release of their EP Rookie Year and mixtape collab with label mate KTG Kirkland (Listen to Draco & a Muffin). The group also performed at Amsterdams OH MY! Music Festival alongside Meek Mill, Lil Baby, Torey Lanez, Roddie Rich and more with plans to join a series of stage line-ups in the Fall.

Two college dropouts (Icarus and Gateway) with a passion for all things cannabis and music is what the emerging Atlanta duo, known as Packtavists, represent. In the fall of 2015, Icarus and Gateway met at Georgia Southern University where they formed a mutual bond a respect moving different than your average college freshman. They started a cannabis running that opened their minds to expand their knowledge outside of the classroom and into the streets of the South. Icarus and Gateway made individual decisions to drop out of college at the completion of their junior year to focus on their craft which led them to pursue music full time and in 2017 the duo signed to STONE BOY RECORDS forming PACKTAVISTS; which is a conjunction for PACK (sack of cannabis) + TAVIST (activist for legalizing cannabis)= PACTAVISTS. The ultimate goal of Stoned Boy Records is to create lyrical party music that entertains with a purpose and most importantly is respected throughout the Hip Hop culture. Packtavists is just getting started and ready to take over this distinct lane of Hip Hop.
