Laufey soared to stardom after clinching the 2024 GRAMMY for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album with her second release, Bewitched. In an exclusive interview for MTV Global PUSH, Laufey shares the inspiration behind her poignant single “Goddess,” revealing, “It’s one of those songs that I feel like has a couple of meanings…I think it is kind of my way of showing how a lot of women feel.”

Reflecting on her GRAMMY win and future aspirations, Laufey shares, “There are a couple of awards that I still dream of accepting…I really want to write some music for films, so I would love to get an Oscar, or a Tony, or an Emmy.”

Describing the creation of her song “From the Start,” Laufey adds, “It’s been really wild what has happened to it…Although it’s kind of a sad feeling to have this unrequited love, ‘From the Start’ was a way to make fun of that feeling.”
