Master Blender Rachel Barrie releases “The GlenDronach”s two new limited production expressions
The Hype Magazine‘s DJ LUOS was one of the first to taste The GlenDronach’s two highly anticipated releases with Master Blender Rachel Barrie. Rachel hosted a private media dinner at Republique. The multi course dinner offered several of the GlenDronach expressions, along with cheese pairings. The two new limited production expressions, which speak to the historic distillery’s mastery of Sherry oak aging, will be available in market in November and their arrival announced nationwide October 28.
In this meeting, Rachel shared more on her role as Master Blender for three Scotch distilleries and what it means to be one of a few female in this position, The Cask Strength Batch 8 (aged for 10 years, 61% proof) and Master Vintage 1993 (casks laid down in 1993), GlenDronach’s tradition of using Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks for aging, and Scotch + cheese!
