SXSW Announces Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert as Keynotes, Unveils Additional Featured Speakers

South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals have unveiled their latest additions for the 38th edition of their annual Conference, scheduled for March 8-16, 2024, in Austin, Texas. Highlighting the convergence of technology, film, television, and music, the announcement includes the inclusion of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert as Keynotes alongside a third round of notable Featured Speakers.

Acclaimed Directors Set as Keynotes

Renowned directing and writing duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, recognized collectively as DANIELS, join the SXSW stage as Keynotes. Having collaborated for over a decade in music videos, television, and film – many premiering at SXSW – the pair’s most recent venture, “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” premiered as the opening night film at SXSW 2022 and has since garnered immense recognition, winning seven Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.

Diverse Array of Featured Speakers

SXSW’s latest lineup of Featured Speakers spans a diverse range of expertise and influence, including:

  • Scott Galloway, a serial entrepreneur and co-Host of the podcasts Pivot and The Prof G Pod.
  • Kun Gao, co-founder of Crunchyroll and GGWP.
  • Benji Geary, Mascot and Senior Art Director at Meow Wolf.
  • Lina Khan, author and 24th Poet Laureate of the United States.
  • Ada Limón, renowned poet and Director of NASA’s Planetary Science Division, Dr. Lori Glaze.
  • John Maeda, Professor of Psychology at Yale University.

  • Laurie Santos, host of The Happiness Lab podcast.
  • Kendra Scott, founder of Kendra Scott, LLC.
  • Molly Sims, entrepreneur, actress, model, and founder of YSE Beauty.
  • Kara Swisher, journalist, CNN contributor, and co-founder of Recode.
