sobhhï Releases Alluring New Single “abu / dhabi”

sobhhï, one of the top R&B/hip-hop artists in the Middle East, has released a sultry new single “abu / dhabi.”. The single pays homage to the hometown of a girlfriend in the UAE.

The single delves into a relationship with a love interest living in another prominent city in the UAE, reflecting the passion and sensuality by traversing between R&B and trap while incorporating subtle Arabic elements. sobhhï seduces a girl in the throws of a messy break-up, serenading her and making it clear that he’s the only one for her.

sobhhï shared some words about the sentiments behind “abu / dhabi“:

“abu / dhabi is the first in a series of songs about a toxic relationship with a scorpio girl. At the time I met her, she was working things out with her boyfriend. However, my intro into her life cut that process off immediately and comparisons between us were common (eg. “got a few inches on you”). I would frequently take trips to Abu Dhabi to meet her, nights it would be raining, or she would come to me. At the end of the song, you can hear her voice from a voicemail she left me one of those nights.”

abu / dhabi” is the most recent of sobhhï’s string of singles in the last few months. His August single “revenue / places” was the #1 streamed urban song for a week on Anghami (the preeminent streaming service in the Middle East) and his more recent single “imagine that” has amassed 500k streams to date, securing sobhhï’s as one of the current top urban artists in Dubai.
