Making the Best of Giving Tuesday

When GivingTuesday dawned on December 3, hundreds of millions of people around the world set aside the things that divide us and embrace what unites us: generosity and giving back. Created in 2012 as a day to encourage people to give back, GivingTuesday has grown into a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and create the world they want to live in. According to PayPal’s 2018 Global Impact Report, in 2018, 55.1 million people from over 200 markets contributed $9.6 billion to more than 665,000 charitable organizations via PayPal.

Dr. Una Osili, a globally recognized expert on economic development and philanthropy, weighed in with The Hype Magazine to help us bridge the knowledge gap of giving this season in partnership with PayPal. Dr. Osili discussed:
