Secret Hit and the Legendary Quad Studios pledge on Songwriting Camps to hit the Spanglish market

Quad Studio -recognized for being the studio where artists such as Tupac, Post Malone and Beyoncé had worked- along with Secret Hit, the VIP Music Records platform that gathers a team that combines the intuition of new talent with the experience of already established producers and songwriters such as Edwin Serrano (Lil Eddie) songwriter for “Mamacita” of Jason Derulo & Farruko; have pledged on implementing songwriting camps as a mechanism for creating in-house content with special attention to the Spanglish market.

Located in the heart of Times Square at 723 7th Avenue, New York City, Quad Studios is well known as a meeting point for composers, producers and artists. One of their main objectives is that Quad’s facilities can become the epicenter of songwriting camps with the exclusive support of the Secret Hit Music and Quad Studios team. These two will be responsible for coordinating the respective invitations of promising artists, and thus begin to create a musical catalog from which results are expected in the long term.

For this project, the parties have the responsibility of notifying the A&Rs of the industry’s biggest labels, as well as their respective clients, that the studio will make musical references and demos available. To achieve this goal, the owners of Quad Studios have conditioned the 12th floor of the building, and renamed it as “Q4”.

The most recent songwriting camps have included the participation of distinct Grammy award winning songwriters and producers. For instance, the Venezuelan producer Linda Briceño, the first woman to win a Grammy as producer of the year, participated in a session in which several compositions were brought to life. Another prominent figure to participate in the songwriting camps is Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter, Carlos Battey, known worldwide as Jackie’s Boy, and who has written in collaboration with global artists such as Justin Bieber, Madonna, Abraham Mateo, Juan Magan, among others. These established songwriters are joined by record producers and songwriters Eddy Beethoven, Chemist, and the entire Secret Hit team led by the public figure and music executive, Fabrizio Moreira, who is responsible for directing the material and content creation for collaborations between artists in the Latin and American industries.

Recently, Secret Hit has been responsible for the collaboration with Juan Magan in the track “Bang Bang” which is a perfect example of a musical work that combines Spanish and English elements created by the Dominican-American producer Eddy Beethoven. The songwriting includes Carlos Battey (Jackie’s Boy) and Salim Asencio, known as the songwriter of “Mala actitud” of CNCO, “Dilema” and ”Aquel idiota” of Prince Royce.

In addition, co-productions include the producer Chemist, who is one of the main producers for american artist Tory Lanez. These projects have led Secret Hit to discover, through the Quad Studios facilities, a perfect combination which they call the ‘new formula’. Ultimately, these co-productions combine the flavor and experience of both Anglo and Latin producers. Fabrizio explains that “sometimes you can have an Anglo songwriter doing great melodies and then when you least know it, the insertion of Latin lyrics adds that instant ‘boom’ element that can hit and succeed in both markets. We expect to have more of this in the market very soon”. This technique is considered to be of extreme value to the industry since it allows rising Latino artists to be matched with other established artists in the Anglo market and vice versa.

In addition to these current projects, the team has plans for the near future to set songwriting camps internationally, especially in Colombia and Argentina, in which ‘trap’ music and Hip-Hop are having a big influence in the Spanish language. Furthermore, the next project to be developed comes from the hand of the artist known as Khalil, who will participate in the camp on October 27th in an exclusive session that promises to gather the best of the independent market to create new songs.
