Zanski – Hauntology

Masterfully playing off his soulful vocals paired with groovy instrumentals and luscious guitar strings, Zanski offers an uplifting take on a candid conversation about mental health and anxiety with his listeners on “Hauntology.” On the new single he shares, “Hauntology is a song that explores existentialism through spirituality and mental illness. It explores existential anxiety, meaninglessness, and in the face of absurdity gives itself resolve by saying ‘so what?’.” Going on to share his music as a path of support for his listeners, Zanski remarks, “I think that it’s so important to realize that so many people may feel like this, but not have an outlet to express it in the way that they wish. I want people to have something that they can use to mirror their own internal struggles and feel okay sitting and reflecting on them. I hope I reach someone with this music and hope that they feel at least marginally better or more understood by its existence.”

“Hauntology” is the second release off Zanski’s forthcoming Upon Frigid Water EP, due out June 2nd, following widespread acclaim on single “Consequence.” Racking up support from CLASH, COLORS Studios, EARMILK, Lyrical Lemonade, Run The Trap and beyond in addition to placement in a plethora of playlists including Spotify’s “Low-Key” and “New Music Friday Canada,” The Good Trade’s “The Soothing Edit From The Daily Good” Spotify playlist, Ones To Watch’s “#NowWatching,” Acid Stag’s “Sunday Chills” and more the Canadian talent continues to impress with authentic music that offers solace in a much needed time for self-care and positivity.
