BK Driller Rah Swish Follows Up His Local Hit with “Tongue Out (Treeshin’ 2)”

The Pop Smoke Associate Shares a Confident New Single from the Upcoming WOO Forever Project

Critical Praise:

“As the New York City street rap renaissance continues, it seems like new guys are coming around every corner with a banger. Enter Rah Swish, whose latest song, ‘Treeshin’,’ is a stereo system’s dream: bass-heavy, belligerent, and demanding to be cranked to max volume.” – Pitchfork

The Song:

Brashly and nimbly wielding his deep voice atop Brooklyn drill beats, Rah Swish is Canarsie’s next great hope. Stunting on his enemies and bragging about his way with women, Rah Swish shares Tongue Out (Treeshin’ 2),” his new single. An energetic new banger, “Tongue Out (Treeshin’ 2)” shows off the Pop Smoke associate’s syllable-stacking prowess, as he dances atop apocalyptic synths and BK drill’s signature wobbly bass: “Baby I’m gangsta, but I’m here to party/I told her don’t call me with drama.” “Tongue Out” is the sequel to “Treeshin’,” an unapologetically raunchy single that quickly became Rah Swish’s biggest hit, earning more than 2 million YouTube views since its November release. “Tongue Out (Treeshin’ 2)” is set to appear on WOO Forever, Rah’s upcoming project.

Honoring the memory of his close friend Pop Smoke even as he builds his own legacy, WOO Forever is Rah’s first project since last year’s debut Look What They Started. Though it reflects the dark realities of street life, Rah Swish’s brand of drill gets a lift from the emcee’s crackling energy, as he fills every space with wild ad-libs (“WOO”) and toe-tags each beat with merciless precision. Over the EP’s eight tracks, including the recently-released title track (100k Spotify streams in just two weeks), Rah proves that he’s ready to follow in Pop’s footsteps and keep the WOO alive. WOO Forever arrives on July 1st via WOO Entertainment/EMPIRE.

The Background:

Hailing from Canarsie, Brooklyn, Rah Swish is one of the first to carve out the newfound drill scene in New York City. Rah Swish teamed up with childhood friends to make a rap collective named N.B.A., which stood for “Never Broke Again.” After garnering millions of views on group songs, Rah began to release music as a solo act and built a highly engaged core following with early standout records like “Debo,” “Back Up,” “This & That,” and “Double It” with Pop Smoke. Dropping his first body of work in 2019 entitled “Look What They Started,” Rah quickly began to catapult to new heights with the breakout single “Treeshin’,” which became the unapologetic theme song for thotty activity all over his city and reached 2 million views on Youtube in a matter of months. In 2020, Rah has continued to put New York on notice with standout videos like “Too Much” featuring Bizzy Banks,“War Time” and “Who Run The City”. Rah draws inspiration from 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Drake, and of course, Rah Swish. WOO!
