Before the growth of the internet, FM radio was the go-to for music lovers. While listening to FM radio, listeners had no choice but to listen to commercial ads, one after the other. Listeners would quickly change the radio station if a song played that they had no interest in. Scrolling from channel to channel in attempt to find something else to listen to was tedious at times. From an artist’s standpoint, getting their song played on the radio seemed impossible. Now, times have changed. With internet radio being readily available with little to no limitations on the content being shared, artists and listeners have rapidly turned their attention to these stations. In addition, individuals who have always dreamed of being a host on a radio show or running their own station now have that opportunity at a much cheaper cost.

Creating an internet radio station or show, although cheaper than building an FM radio station, still requires a lot of work. Ear 2 Tha Streetz is one radio station that has developed a solid fan-base with hard work and dedication. The goal of this station was to create a platform for independent artists world-wide and of all genres. The station’s ability to network, promote, and engage with artists and their fans has grown tremendously.

Ear 2 Tha Streetz Radio was founded by DJ C4, Big Game James, and Dick Dillinger. The station originated in Dallas, Texas after the three founders became assets to the “Real Talk, No BS” radio show. Once they got a taste of the radio world, they decided to develop Ear 2 Tha Streetz Radio. The founders are grateful for the doors that have opened up for them due to their time with “Real Talk, No BS”. They have had the opportunity to assist artists with getting their music heard to a large amount of people. This station was created with, not only the goal of becoming a huge success, but also with the intention and passion to inspire and motivate artists around the globe.

When listening to Ear 2 Tha Streetz Radio, it is rare that I find myself muting the sound or looking for another station. As an eclectic individual, I have been introduced to several artists through this platform whom I now follow and support. It is proof that internet radio helps connect people from all walks of life and provides a large reach for artists looking to enhance their fan-bases. With a talk show and a mix-tape show, Ear 2 Tha Streetz Radio continues to strive for further success.
