Berlin’s Terri Nunn On The New “Strings Attached” Album, Positivity, Weird Al & More

One of the most iconic bands of the 1980s — although its members have been working steadily since then — is Berlin. Nearly 40 years after the release of “Take My Breath Away,” the Los Angeles-based synth pop group has returned with an album of their classic tracks… with strings attached. Thus, the appropriately-titled new album Strings Attached, which includes the classic Berlin band lineup of singer Terri Nunn, bassist John Crawford and guitarist/keyboardist David Diamond.

Prior to Strings Attached, Nunn, Crawford and Diamond had released the Transcendance album. That one followed 2002’s Voyeur, 2005’s 4Play and 2013’s Animal, all of which had Nunn at the helm. Interestingly, Nunn had written with Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan for the album.

On November 20, 2020, I had the pleasure of interviewing Terri Nunn via Zoom, as embedded below. More information on Nunn and Berlin can be found online via www.berlinpage.com, www.facebook.com/berlinofficialband and www.instagram.com/berlinofficialband.
