Photos: John Wick: Chapter 4 | London, Berlin and Paris Premieres

Can you believe the John Wick franchise kicked off 10 years ago and now we are at John Wick: Chapter 4? The original made the global action film genre step its game up. John Wick-style elements appear in more recent action films than one can name in any reasonable amount of time. IGN.com compiled a list of the top ten movies similar to John Wick as evidence of my point. I wonder what it must feel like to wake up and realize you ushered in a whole era of something…

This may be one of the most anticipated films in recent times…regardless of genre. High attendance at premieres in Berlin, London, and Paris is a testament to an era-defining level of action and intensity coupled with an elite team like Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski leading the way.

John Wick: Chapter 4 Global Premieres

London

For their first stop, Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski flew to London for the premiere event on March 6th that took over Leicester Square. They were joined on the spectacular red carpet by cast members Rina Sawayama, Ian McShane, Scott Adkins, and Natalia Tena. Not even the rain could keep fans away— they lined the red carpet in costume, under umbrellas, with their raincoats on, waiting to meet the cast and snap a picture. Guests attending were able to enjoy the film in Cineworld’s state-of-the-art IMAX packed house that seats 721.

Berlin

Next, Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski headed to Germany where they attended the Berlin premiere on March 8th at the historic Zoo Palast Cinema, which has been painstakingly restored to the glory of the original 1957 structure and boasts over 1600 seats in its 7 cinema halls. Fans waited in the cold for hours for the chance of getting Keanu to sign their poster or to take a selfie with the star, and the excitement from guests and press on the carpet was palpable. The night concluded in a standing ovation for both the actor and director.

Paris

And finally, the global tour continued last night, when Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski walked the red carpet in Paris at the beautiful art deco cinema Le Grand Rex, the largest theater in Europe, holding 2800 guests. The Rex was decked out in John Wick: Chapter 4 artwork and fans lined up outside, some sporting their best John Wick suits, waiting for the chance to glimpse their favorite star. They also packed the huge auditorium, welcoming Chad and Keanu with handwritten signs, cheers, and a standing ovation as they ascended the stage to give an introduction to the film. To cap off an evening full of excitement, a choreographed John Wick-themed fight sequence took place on stage featuring the actual stuntmen from the film.
