Enigmatic Chicago Collective Goodbye Tomorrow Delivers Poignant, Rewind-Worthy New Single “05 2K20 SkkkknNnn”

Not allowing solitude to drift into loneliness, Chicago art collective Goodbye Tomorrow continues to push creative boundaries through new sounds and universes emerging from their think tank. Their new single “skkkknNnn 2k20” heightens the anticipation for the upcoming fake mad ACTUALLY [manifesto of a fallen king] EP.

Goodbye Tomorrow’s purpose driven lyrics flow gracefully over lush production by 42 Sounds (Stan Sono and V3ry Rich). Conventional hip-hop standards aren’t their strong suit, yet Goodbye Tomorrow draws you in with a resonant message and singular soundscape.

“They just be like, Preme where you been? I been safeguarding my energy,” raps Goodbye Tomorrow at the track’s intro. They continue with, “I went into hiding way back, before quarantine” which alludes to their belief in peace of mind and disdain for social media culture.

Described by Pitchfork as “shape-shifting stylistic experiments”. “skkkknNnn 2k20” is Goodbye Tomorrow’s follow up single to “04 $$ Like That Could Change Life (2K19 Freestyle)”.

Ghettoblaster Magazine wrote, “Goodbye Tomorrow has found themselves zigging while others are zagging.” They continue their unorthodox path towards rap prominence with “skkkknNnn 2k20”.

“This track is a mood. A 2020 mood. The beginning of a descent into madness as Preme pondered the year he disappeared… the year we all went mad,” says Goodbye Tomorrow.

“skkkknNnn 2k20” is available now across all DSPs. fake mad ACTUALLY [manifesto of a fallen king] EP will be released in January 2021.

About Goodbye Tomorrow:

Goodbye Tomorrow is a multicultural art collective with roots in music. The collective strives to alter the social, philosophical, and cultural values of the world via powerful artistic experiences. After exploding onto the national radar in 2015 with the award winning music video “JAY Z: A Dissertation on the Diaspora of the BLACK Soul,” Goodbye Tomorrow expanded outward, venturing into fashion and fine art with Congruent Space, a Chicago retail and event space that has become a cultural hotspot and artistic incubator for uniting young creatives in the fractured city.
