J Young MDK Talks Highly Anticipated Third Album & American Diabetes Association Ambassadorship

The entertainment industry is tough and it can be quite the challenge to push the boundaries in every possible direction all the time to see what other exciting things can come out of it, but J Young MDK is doing just that!

Jermaine Carter, professionally known as J Young MDK is certainly taking the challenging path and continues to innovate in not just multiple musical genres but accomplishments in the worlds of acting, philanthropy, business, and simply creating connections in his community.

The independent musician, actor, entrepreneur, and brand manager has already made musical history this year, starting with double drops of an R&B album, “Aqua,” and a rap album, “Black,” both on the same day. He has been working on releasing each track from each album on streaming services, one week at a time, a project he calls “the 50/50 campaign”.

Switching gears to the side of philanthropy, he has recently become an official ambassador/influencer for the American Diabetes Association. He is truly eager to give hope to people battling Type 1 diabetes by not being ashamed of being vocal about his journey with the disease. During a live stream interview with the American Diabetes Association, he mentions not knowing how long he had the disease along with his thankfulness for getting checked out by a doctor after having frequent dizzy spells.

We also can’t forget to mention that J Young MDK has become a strong supporter and volunteer with the LL Foundation, an organization that helps underserved children in different facilities and environments. When he can find a moment to spare, he enjoys going into Atlanta-area schools to read to the kids during storytimes. In addition to his music and philanthropy, he has a supporting role in the new holiday Netflix movie, “The App that Stole Christmas” alongside Ray J and Jackie long. The Netflix film is already drawing positive attention and high viewership landing at #2 on the Netflix charts of most popular new releases.

Up next is his new album “White”, which is his third album set to be released in December. “White” includes a mixture of all sorts of genres including pop, alternative, rap, and R&B, and is expected to include something for everyone.

Keep up with J Young MDK and follow his journey on social media @JYoungMDK.
