KidSoSteez – “Born To Create”

Representing the midlands, KidSoSteez hits us with his first single ‘Born To Create’; a bouncy, melody-filled expedition driven by majestic wordplay offering an insight into his pert, vibrant personality. Teaming up with 3D Artist and Director Rufus Wilson, he provides a high quality visual supported by picturesque scenes including a murky swamp and a sleek foil-lined studio.

First introduced to music as young as nine years old, ‘Steez stumbled across his Step-Dad’s vinyl collection, with Elvis Presley catching his eye in particular encouraging his musical taste. His dreams of becoming a professional skateboarder led to his admiration for hip-hop after recognising the interwoven chemistry connecting the cultures. Charged on a secret wave juice he entered the studio with premeditated bangers previously written on a european skate trip marking the start of his musical journey.

Speaking on the single, KidSoSteez reflects:

“I was inspired by the negativity received so far on my musical journey, this is an ode to those who are disillusioned by the crazy ambition I possess. Deep down I know I was born to do this, sometimes I even surprise myself and I can’t wait for everyone else to witness what’s coming.”

Despite the arguable resemblance to Aitch, it’s evident that his fashion-forward efforts contribute to his branding. As well as being inspired by new-gen artists such as M-Huncho and Nafe Smallz, he also takes influence from anywhere between Ed Sheeran and OutKast. With new singles in the pipeline, 2021 will see him continue with his upward trajectory, and he is excited to get his music out.
