Namito Inaugurates Brand News Label, Sound of Berlin, with his latest EP, ‘Lonely Boy’ out on 11th December
Iranian-born producer Namito is sharing his forthcoming EP ‘Lonely Boy’ via brand new label and multimedia platform, Sound Of Berlin, on the 11th of December.
‘Lonely Boy’ is a collection of dark, hypnotic tracks that capture the iconic underground sound of Germany’s capital.

Born in November 1971 in Tehran, Iran, Namito grew up in a tranquil middle-class family in the Northern part of the city. After witnessing Iran’s bloody revolution and a notorious war, his parents decided to send him to West Germany for a better future. He then moved to West-Berlin, where his enthusiasm for the art of DJing grew so strong, that he dropped out of school and started a career that’s now spanning over three decades already.
He started off as a DJ in the local, buzzing Berlin Techno scene, but quickly gained international success as soon as he produced his own music. Having since released music on acclaimed labels, such as Kling Klong, Systematic Recordings, Kompakt, Yoshitoshi, Selador and Sol Selectas, to name a few. Residencies in some of the best clubs in Berlin, such as Tresor and Sternradio, were followed by several international gigs.
In recent years, Namito co-produced many other artists, including Marc Romboy, as well as sharing the stage with the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra and the legendary Grandmaster Flash, with whom he made parts of the music for the Netflix show called “The Get Down”.
In 2019, he not only released the critically acclaimed Electronica album “Leaving Everything Behind” via Balance Music, but his track ‘Stone Flower’ became an international hit and ended up being the best selling Electronica track of the year on Beatport.
Sound Of Berlin as a multichannel platform and a record label with the aim of amplifying the smaller voices around Berlin’s celebrated electronic music- and nightlife scene.
At a time, where mobility has drastically changed and impacted the global live music industry, Sound Of Berlin aims to give emerging artists of the Berlin scene a platform and worldwide reach. We want to drive innovation and creation in the scene by mentoring and supporting emerging artists during those difficult times.
Our goal is to raise the smaller voices in the scene, be they independent one-man labels, self- releasing artists, club owners, independent curators, stage- and light designers, just to name a few. We want to shine a light on all aspects of the scene and give everyone a voice.
