Indie Collective JIMKATA Return With “Liar With The Lights On”

JIMKATA are back with “Liar With The Lights On”, a psych-pop track filled with driving synths, funky bass, and soulful vibrant vocals. The tune is off of their upcoming full-length album Bonfires, out this Spring.

“Liar With The Lights On” details someone who makes moral shady decisions in the daytime and in the evening fears the consequences. The band was inspired by shiny dance and colorful tracks that sometimes detail darker themes, juxtaposing with the upbeat music. They reference bands like The Police as well as Reggae artists including Bob Marley and Peter Tosh as influences for their latest single.

The electric visuals are filled with neon, overlapping visuals of a member dancing. The video pairs perfectly with the partying musical feeling but also the darker undertow of the song’s thematic message. Take a watch to JIMKATA’s new visuals for “Liar With The Lights On” now.
