Dim Mak x Thundercats Release Nostalgic Collaboration

Steve Aoki’s fashion label, Dim Mak Collection has teamed up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to release the official, co-branded collaboration: “Dim Mak x Thundercats” which is set to release on June 18th, 2021.  The ‘80s-inspired apparel delivers peak nostalgia from our youth and our beloved after-school cartoons, capturing the magical Thundercats adventures that had us racing home to settle in front of the TV for the coolest cartoon ever!

Combining elements of science fiction, fantasy, comedy, horror, and the supernatural, Thundercats was one of the most iconic and action-packed shows of the time, and one that we still pine for to this day. What’s not to love about intergalactic feline-humanoids battling demonic mummies on the distant planet Third Earth? Based on the original series with updated artwork, Dim Mak’s latest collection brings our favorite childhood memories to the present while paying homage to the pre-internet days of yore.

“I used to watch Thundercats every day after school before doing my homework. I remember being enthralled by Lion-O, who was my favorite character; Panthro, who was a bad-ass; and Cheetara, who was lightning fast – I even had a Sword of Omens which I would swing around shouting ‘Thundercats…HO!!!” remembers Steve Aoki.

The “Dim Mak x Thundercats” collection includes a series of premium t-shirts and hoodies ranging from $38-$85. The collection’s custom artwork celebrates Thundercat’s old lessons about respect, friendship, truth, honesty, justice with vibrant jumbo graphics, neons, and colorful cyclone tie dyes featuring Lion-O, Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, Snarf, Wiley Kit, and Wiley Kat as they mêlée with Mumm-ra and his band of evil mutants.
