0“Poser” Actress Bobbi Kitten And Directors Noah Dixon & Ori Segev On Their Excellent New Tribeca-Premiered Film & Much More
In the new film Poser, Lennon (played by Sylvie Mix) exists timidly on the sidelines of the thriving Columbus, Ohio indie music scene, yearning for a personal connection that might shepherd her into the inner sanctum of warehouse concerts, exclusive backstage, house parties and the cutting-edge art scene. As Lennon fuels her desire for entrée into a podcast featuring live music and conversations with the artists she so fervently admires, she finds inspiration for her own musical ambition… and a growing sense of misdirected identity. Enter Bobbi Kitten, an enigmatic, striking and talented half of a popular, indie-pop duo, who takes Lennon under her confident wing. Without giving too much away, Lennon has unwittingly entangling herself in a dark obsession via her association with Bobbi Kitten.
Poser notably had its world premiere at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. Screened on June 10, 2021 at the Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens, the film is competing within Tribeca’s “U.S. Narrative Competition.” After watching a virtual screening of this entertaining and unique film, I had the pleasure of interviewing its directors Noah Dixon and Ori Segev — Dixon also is credited as the movie’s screenwriter — and actress Bobbi Kitten on June 11, 2021, as embedded below. While Kitten acts in Poser, she is indeed the frontwoman of the band Damn The Witch Siren.
