Who is Rising Talent SSX Peso?!
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, SSX PESO decided to get into the music industry after coming home from a 24-month stretch in February 2020. SSX PESO delved into mellow trap music, keeping a chill vibe. His style comes natural as his peers have always told him that he had the potential for rapping and would fit in nicely with the culture of hip-hop.
His background puts him in prime position to bring something fresh to Hip Hop as his experiences have lent themselves to developing stories which he presents like a seasoned pro. We wanted to get to know more about this rising artist so we got him to weigh in on a few things:
From the outside looking in, who is SSX Peso?
SSX Peso is a country boy from the south side of Atlanta, Ga. To be exact I’m from Washington Rd 4500 block. When you take a look into my music you’ll see that I reference 4500 a lot and that’s because I’m just letting people know where I’m from.
What was the defining moment that brought you to the music business?
Most defining moment in my career had to be when I linked up with Special. He been the person helping and guiding me threw this whole music process. He been giving me a step by step about what to do and not to do.
What’s the most satisfying for you about making music?
Hearing my music and understanding that I got a platform to speak my peace and let people know about 4500. Coming from the south side of Atlanta especially Washington Rd you don’t see too much. So just knowing where I came from and watching people listen to my music it’s the most satisfying part of making music!
Tell us about your current project and what it means for you
I’m working on a project right now titled STILL SHINING. I have 2 singles out right now titled FREAK and SHOW SUM. STILL SHINING the project that’t soon to drop will tell tales from my past experiences including my prison sentence to my new found journey in music. Can’t really say too much more but just know I’m giving it my all in this project.
What do you want listeners to get from your music?
I want the listeners to give vibe out with positive energy. You know leave all that negative broke energy stuff alone. My music should inspire people to want get some money.
What’s been your funniest WTF moment thus far in your career?
I haven’t really had no WTF moments but I can’t wait honestly! I’m getting bigger by the day so hopefully I start attracting attention in public!
What’s the most important thing we should know about SSX Peso?
Most important is that Peso gone continue to be the same country boy from Washington Rd. I ain’t never going to change. I’m going to go in on every song.
