Tom Savini On The New Film “Smoke & Mirrors,” Future Career Goals, Slipknot, WWE & More

As a Special Makeup Effects legend, Actor, Director and Stuntman, Tom Savini has redefined the horror genre with his arsenal of talents. But who is the man behind the “King of Splatter?” From his childhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to his tour of duty during Vietnam, to his beginnings with George A. Romero, Smoke & Mirrors is the defining documentary on the life and career of Savini.

Due out on October 19, 2021 via Wild Eye Releasing, Smoke & Mirrors was directed by Jason Baker. It not only features Savini, but also appearances by Danny McBride, Robert Rodriguez, Danny Trejo, Alice Cooper, Greg Nicotero, Tom Atkins, Corey Feldman, Doug Bradley and Bill Moseley. And that cast of characters is just a sampling of the legends who Savini has collaborated with over the years; projects of his in recent years have included work done for Slipknot and WWE stars Triple H and Bray Wyatt.
