Frankie Lindia On Joining Ratt, Playing With David Lee Roth, New Music, Future Projects & More
Frankie Lindia is an Los Angeles-based guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and music teacher. Early on, Lindia played in school bands, picking up trumpet, sousaphone, drums and bass until he finally discovered Van Halen and guitar as a whole. Playing with many people and in many bands — including his original band Legal Tender — showed him the ropes about the music business. Lindia ultimately became an official endorser of products by Charvel, EVH Gear, FU-Tone and EMG Pickups.
I first discovered Frankie Lindia as one of the guitarists within David Lee Roth’s Las Vegas residency in 2020. After his work with Roth, Lindia wound up joining the legendary hard rock band Ratt. Prior to all of that, Lindia released his debut solo instrumental album Creatures Of Habit. His latest single is “Thank You (EVH Tribute).” Touring and recording aside, Lindia has kept busy as an in-demand music teacher; he teaches guitar, drums, bass and piano. He has also composed for a number of music libraries.
On December 9, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Frankie Lindia via Zoom, as embedded below. More on Lindia and his musical endeavors can be found by clicking here, here and here.
