French Montana Drops Visuals For ‘Handstand’ Video Featuring Doja Cat and Saweetie, New Album ‘They Got Amnesia’ Out Now!

After shaking the game, French Montana unleashes the big screen-worthy music video for his new single “Handstand” [feat. Doja Cat & Saweetie] today. It remains a standout from his critically acclaimed new album, They Got Amnesia, out now via Epic Records/Bad Boy Entertainment.

French Montana and Doja Cat

French, Doja Cat, and Saweetie have all done some crazy visuals, but this might just be the craziest yet! This time around, these three titans meet in a post-apocalyptic future.Doja Cat delivers the hook clad in a metal bikini top outfitted with machine guns like a 21stcentury Barbarella. French pulls up right between warring factions with infectious ironclad bars, while Saweetie raps in front of a city in flames.  You need to see it to believe it.

“Handstand” has posted up close to 7 million streams since the record’s arrival in November and ignites an instantly twerkable refrain over slick production. The two hottest female MCs in the game tag team the beat with raunchy and raucous bars before Frenchpulls up with a hypnotic verse of his own. In addition, just last week “Handstand” was the most-added record at Urban radio in the US.

They Got Amnesia, which is executive produced by Hitmaka and Rick Steele, has already generated hundreds of millions of streams and received widespread critical acclaim. Rolling Stone raved, French makes sure we never forget that his bona fides are bulletproof,” and Complex assured, French Montana is here to remind the rap game of exactly who he is with his fourth studio album, and Revolt noted French “picked the perfect time to remind the naysayers what he’s always been capable of.Billboarddeclared, French Montana has carved out a fruitful lane in hip-hop over the past decade, offering rambunctious anthems alongside major collaborators and building hits around tough talk and ad-libs.” Vibe promised it “exceeds expectations as a body work worthy of multiple spins.”

French Montana’s most personal album to date, They Got Amnesia opens in the literal “ICU,” and takes listeners on a journey through redemption, detailing his story through recovery over the past several years. The record kicks into high gear with the head-nodding “How You King.Elsewhere, “Touch The Sky” with John Legend & Rick Rossreaches the heavens with a fluttering refrain and bossed-up rhymes from Rozay. Then, there’s “Push Start, which shines with a sizzling guest spot from Coi Leray. Serving up a sequel to his 2016 double-platinum smash “Lockjaw,he reteams with Kodak Blackfor the red hot “Mopstick. Then, there’s “Stuck In The Jungle” with Pop Smoke & Lil Durk. French links back up with the late Pop Smoke and Lil Durk for a bold banger punctuated by a catchy lyrical crossfire. The whole project concludes with the soulful and reflective “Losing Weight.” In the end, the album delivers a message to fans to appreciate life and everything that comes along with it.

Recently, French uncovered the music video for “Bag Season” [feat. Lil Tjay].  Additionally, he contributed “If I Go Down” to the film National Champions, which arrives in theaters on December 10th.

Expanding his influence yet again, he recently announced his new collaboration with legendary perfumer Kilian Hennessy for a limited-edition spin on Angels’ Share from KILIAN ParisFrench Montana worked with Kilian on all creative elements, giving the product a truly unique spin. About French Montana
Some artists blur genres, but French Montana blurs borders. His inimitable fusion of classic East Coast rhymes, wavy pop swagger, and international ambition elevated him to the forefront of the game on a global scale. 2017 saw him ascend to superstar status with the blockbuster smash “Unforgettable” [feat. Swae Lee], which cemented him in the “Billion Club” for streaming and earned a nine-times platinum certification from the RIAA. Meanwhile, his sophomore effort, JUNGLE RULES, went and dominated the charts and his 2019 album MONTANA was certified gold immediately upon release. He closed 2020 with the release of the long-anticipated CB5 (Coke Boys 5) mixtape, continuing a legacy he started over a decade ago. Now, he takes it to the next level with his latest effort They Got Amnesia.

At the same time, he has left an indelible mark on communities around the globe. In addition to becoming the very first rap ambassador of Global Citizen, he staunchly supported humanitarian efforts, spanning DACA, the viral Mama Hope #UNFORGETTABLE Dance Challenge, which raised over $500,000-plus, and his Pan-African health and education movement into Morocco with Care Morocco. 2018 also saw him become a U.S. Citizen after emigrating to the South Bronx from Morocco at just 13-years-old.

If anyone can not only change music, but the world at large, it’s French Montana.
