Sarina – “My Mother” ft. LATENIGHTJIGGY

A new music visual has dropped on YouTube from Maryland’s Singing Sensation, Sarina. From her latest project release, Glass Paradise DELUXE, Sarina croons a song of excitement to tell her mother about her new true love. She explains, “It’s about meeting someone who has you on cloud nine. I wanted this song to be light and almost funny in a way, just to capture what it feels like to be in love.”

The Caribbean percussion in the song’s intro paired with the fresh Pop sound, yet soulful groove gives the song a classic vibe all can enjoy. It’s universal and infectious; as are all of Sarina’s original records.

“The beat for this song is so infectious that writing it was so easy,” she shared, “I came up with the melody for the hook instantly, and after that, the words came effortlessly.”

She sings, “Your love, it came and took me by surprise/ You make me feel alive/ you’re my reason why…”

Her originality is what sets Sarina’s music style apart from all her contemporaries in the R&B/Pop music game right now. She brings so much flavor and diversity to her recordings. This record was produced by diverse and talented Cherry Beetz and is featuring Trinidadian-American music artist LATENIGHTJIGGY who compliments her flavor with his ‘jiggy’ style. His diverse sound is what sets him apart as an artist and makes his collaboration with Sarina brilliant.

When asked about how this collaboration came about, Sarina said,

“LATENIGHTJIGGY is another dope artist from the DMV. From the moment my team decided to add a feature to this record, he was the first artist that came to mind. I sent the record to him and what he sent back was straight heat. The first time we met in person was on set of the music video. He’s super chill and easy to work with. Shooting a video can be stressful at times, so I always want everyone on the set to feel comfortable and still have fun. I was anxious at first, but it was all good vibes.”

JIGGY, like Sarina, is bilingual with caribbean descent. Perhaps more music from these two? Watch the video below and leave us a comment.
