Hype: Tell me where you are from and when did you first fall in love with music?

I’m from Maryland, and I have loved music my whole life. Since a toddler, music was always something that was there for me and that I could connect to

Hype: Who are your early influences/inspirations?

Growing up my parents were always listening to Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, and many other great artists. They definitely inspired me early and to this day.

Hype: How did you get into singing and how do you feel about this current generation’s creative direction?

I have always been a writer but I started writing my own songs around 8 years old. This generation’s current creative direction is honestly very exciting. I’m seeing and discovering so many new talented artists who work hard and care about their craft. It’s very exciting to see.

Hype: How important is the love for what you do and desire?

It’s number one on my list for me. I love music with everything in me. It’s what drives me and keeps me going even on those days when it gets hard. The love I have for creating always overpowers those feelings of doubt.

Hype: You are from Haïtian descent. How important is the culture and you with this leading by example?

Being able to represent my culture and my country in a positive light is very important to me. There are so many beautiful aspects about us that I feel people don’t know about, and it must be shown.

Hype: You recently released your latest project, Glass Paradise DELUXE, what was the inspiration for this project?

This project was created during the peak of the pandemic, so for me, it was my way of being able to travel to a better place and escape. I wanted others also to have something they could listen to that could bring them some joy.

Hype: When was the first time you were in love how did you know it was real?

I don’t know if I ever have been.

Hype: Do you feel like this generation needs to communicate and help more with others?

I think many of us are afraid to open up and be vulnerable, me included, especially in this era of social media where everyone has something to say. I think we need to listen more to each other and actually try and understand what people are saying before jumping to conclusions.

Hype: What makes you different in your lane in the DMV?

My sound is a mixture of Pop/R&B, and at times Caribbean influenced. When you think of music that comes out of the DMV my sound isn’t the first thing you think of, so I believe I’m bringing something fresh and adding on to what being a creative from the DMV means.

Hype: What does success mean to you?

Being at peace and being able to take care of my family.

Hype: What’s next for you?

New music, more visuals, and performing.
