Bringing Pop Culture to Music: GameboyJones Changing the Game

GameboyJones is an independent musician/content creator from Kent, Ohio who has been making music for 5 years. Born on July 29, 1993, and inspired creatives like Lupe Fiasco, Childish Gambino, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, and CoreyxKenshin, Jones makes Rap/Hip-Hop, R&B/Pop music based on anime and pop culture which he shows through his music videos.

His first project was freestyling for an audition to be a part of Team Backpack. He also says that his artist name comes from his gamer tag.

Jones has worked with Daddyphatsnaps, Fabvi, Rustage, Dan bull, NerdOut, and MegaRan. He says working with Daddyphatsnaps is always a pleasure because they both are dedicated individuals and he is one of the best mixers he knows.

Jones recently dropped his track “On My Own” which was inspired by the latest season of “Attack on Titan” through the main character Eren Jeager’s perspective. He is currently set to release an R&B song titled “My Type” featuring JHBBoss.

Jones’ goals include having features with rappers like IDK, Denzel Curry, and Smino, performing overseas in Japan or the United Kingdom, and living comfortably making a living off music. Jones has been killing it with his music, having over 150k monthly listeners on Spotify and having his song “Uraraka” gaining over 3 million streams.
