Dig King Von’s New Single “War” From Upcoming Album ‘What It Means To Be King’
Gearing up for this Friday’s release of his posthumous album What It Means To Be King, King Von’s estate and Only The Family/EMPIRE share the gripping new single “War.” Over the piano and 808s-led Chopsquad DJ beat, Von candidly reflects on his life growing up in O’Block and his desire to create a new beginning for himself. The song really taps into Von’s knack for street storytelling and is a perfect representation of the raw passion he emotes through his lyrics and dynamic delivery that his fans know and love.
The new single arrives just two days after Von’s estate revealed the cover art for What It Means To Be King. Alluding to the nature of the cover art for Von’s debut album Welcome To O’Block, the album’s cover features Von’s distinct intense stare and the album’s title scribed in Von’s own handwriting. Currently available for pre-order/pre-save, What It Means To Be King arrives on March 4th via Only The Family/EMPIRE.
