Retro-Pop Duo Whoaa Drop Magical New Single ‘Saturday Fun’ Along With Icon Filled Visuals

WHOAA – Ring and DoLLA

Retro-Pop duo WHOAA (Ring and DoLLA) recently dropped their latest single Saturday Fun and it hit like Hulk on the rampage!!! Out of the gate, Saturday Fun jumped right onto the iTunes Charts in the Alternative category, which marked their first such accomplishment in their burgeoning career.  The joint could be called the soundtrack to, “Following your dreams whilst in the crux of working a soul-sucking 9 to 5, it’s an energetic retro-pop-bop that invokes emotional yet inspirational waves of triumph”, say the emerging stars.

The Prince-esque 80s LinnDrum and warm warbly synthesizer chords, coupled with WHOAA’s gliding vocals guide this upbeat groove into a modern soundscape, nostalgic but uniquely its own. According to the group, the song “Capsulizes our journey from leaving our jobs in Atlanta, moving to LA, and landing on Alt-Pop playlists.

The visuals for the song pull you right in and bring you into the fun…WHOAA takes NOSTALGIA to the next level, with the music video for Saturday Fun. Ring & DoLLA of WHOAA teamed up with the cult fan-favorite animatronic band, The Rock-afire Explosion (as seen in your favorite Chuck-e-Cheese, ShowBiz Pizza, and many other childhood family fun centers). The Rock-afire Explosion, a singing animatronic band (which influenced Five Night At Freddy’s), was created by inventor engineer, a multifaceted genius, Aaron Fechter. Watching WHOAA’s music video, you will be transported through the creation warehouse, that houses relics entrenched in nostalgia, capsulizing a “one-of-one” experience like no other. Visited by Michael Jackson in the ’80s, on the cusp of “Thriller”, Aaron Fechter allowed WHOAA, and their video “Saturday Fun” to be that final, last music video to be filmed at the “Creative Engineering” Warehouse, before its closing.

WHOAA is one of those phenomenons of music that we will be celebrating for years to come. The way they respected the entire fabric of legendary music and brought it into today’s world with their very special formula is just absolute genius in my opinion.

In ALL respects this joint meets the bar for eternal music, the topic, the energy, and the honesty are all on point, and the vocal presentation along with an unforgettable music bed just makes this, “One of those songs…”

Saturday Fun was written by WHOAA and enjoyed production magic from one of Teddy Riley and Danja’s understudies, Earegula. The mix also got the blessings of two of music’s finest in the personages of GRAMMY nominees Dan Cohen (RIP) who’s laced the likes of Justin Bieber and Polow da Don and Ray Seay who touched projects for Blanco Brown, Pitbull, Flo Rida, and Lil’ Jon to name the shortlist while mastering duties were handled by another GRAMMY nominee Kenny Mixx at the legendary Patchwerk Studios, in Atlanta, GA.

Keep up with WHOAA
