Neil Nines is Gearing Up for a Big 2022

Neil Nines is best known around Baltimore as a prominent DJ at any of the high-profile nightlife locations such as BLK Swan, Mosaic, and The Charles. He is also known on the corporate side as a professional DJ for Adidas, Caesars Entertainment, and Veuve Clicquot. But over the last few years, Neil has taken it upon himself to further deepen his production knowledge, work in the studio to develop his own sonics, and come out with stellar musical collaborations. In 2020, Neil produced and co-wrote the song “You Belong Here” with singer/songwriter and fellow Baltimorean Sunny Cowell- the two created the song as a piece of a project with movie producer Brian Levin, which won “Best Music Video” at the Multi Dimension and Cineplay Film Festivals. As he begins to gain a higher profile in the music community, Neil is continuing to push in multiple directions and dedicating considerably more time to writing and producing in the studio.
He plans to release a series of singles and EP by year-end, not a full album. Between Neil Nines and Allen X Nines, there will be an album’s worth of material. Outside of dance and pop-based EDM tracks, he is creating ambient meditation music. Neil is also a certified yoga teacher and a practitioner of TM (Transcendental Meditation) and hopes to collaborate more with wellness and mindfulness-oriented organizations. He has released his first record in this style using the modular synthesis rig belonging to his close friend Craig aka Patch Node, who recently passed. The record is a tribute to Craig, who played a major influence in the global modular synthesis community by connecting artists and audiophiles from around the world.
In addition to another collaboration with Sunny Cowell in the works, Nines is working on a series of EDM fusion tracks with Baltimore-based R&B artist and producer Leftlane Skrilla. In the meantime, check out Neil’s Soundcloud and his Instagram for his latest Radio mixes and releases.
