Star2 drops Enthralling new EP Real Life

Acclaimed Asian-American hip hop artist Star2 just released his new EP Real Life. Since 2020, the prolific songwriter has released a series of exciting singles alongside acclaimed producer Chico Bennett (Prince, Madonna, Lady Gaga, the Killers, Hillary Duff, Britney Spears). Star2’s recent collaborations include rising rappers Luh Kel, MarMar Oso, YSN Flow, $tupid Young, and Lil Poppa to name a few.

Star2’s latest 6 track EP features Luh Kel (“I Wanna Get F’d Up”) Lil Poppa (“Real Life”) and $tupid Young (“Big Bands”). The EP is a collection of singles that tells Star2’s captivating story as an artist and Thai refugee. From “Real Life” which details Star2 and Lil Poppa’s experiences growing up in inner city poverty, to “Run Away”, Star2’s conscious rap release that reflects on the hardships of growing up without a father or mother in a Thai refugee camp, the EP paints the inspiring picture of a dedicated artist who has persevered through it all to get to where he is today.
Crafting music that oozes with a mix of thoughtful lyricism, soul, and mainstream pop appeal, Star2 is paving the way for a new wave of Asian American rappers to take the spotlight. With more music on the way, including a collaboration with OG rapper Soulja Boy, Star2 is an exciting artist to keep a watch for.
