Long Beach’s Own Westside Webb Drops Off New Project ‘Player Games Pt. 1’
Long Beach’s own Westside Webb has just dropped his latest project Player Games Pt. 1 and it’s delivering the perfect soundtrack for summer.
Player Games pt. 1 consists of nine tracks that instantly provide listeners with a vibe meant to help you relax and be laid back, which is Webb’s intent.
“As a producer first, music talks to me. Not the lyrics, the overall aspect and sound,” said Webb. “I feel like music speaks a foreign language and only a few understand, and I definitely understand. It makes my soul feel good, it makes me happy to see people happy while listening to something I created from scratch from my own thought process.”
As soon as listeners press play on this project, you’re instantly transported into his world. He is both confident and humble on songs like “Different Goals” where he talks about staying in his own lane and separating himself from his peers simply because he knows that he has different and greater things he wants to accomplish.
“The music is player and myself and the people around me live a ‘player-cool lifestyle’ but essentially, We are all playing this game called LIFE,” said Webb when ask to describe his newest project. “So everybody is a player. We all are trying to figure it out day by day. So I figured I’d give some game that I know and have been learning about life and just certain qualities about a persons character that I stand by.”
Listeners are also taken into Westside Webb’s world on his song “A Week of Webb” where he’s essentially giving listeners a glimpse of what it’s like for him in life on a day to day.
The emcee and producer is sure to show his sweeter side on songs dedicated to the ladies like “Us Against The World” as he perfectly describes what it’s like to be involved with him romantically and how his lover love will never have to worry when she’s with him as he exposes her to the the finer things.
