Phoebe Robinson On The Freeform Series “Everything’s Trash,” Career Goals & More

The new Freeform series Everything’s Trash follows Phoebe, a 30-something outspoken podcast star making her professional mark while living a broke and delightfully messy life in Brooklyn. When her “perfect” older brother launches a political campaign, she is forced to start her adulting “journ-journ.” Ugh. Life may be a little “boo-boo,” but Phoebe is still thriving. Besides lead actress Phoebe Robinson as Phoebe, the series also stars Jordan Carlos, Toccarra Cash, Nneka Okafor and Moses Storm.

The show is executive produced by Phoebe Robinson — also a successful author, podcaster, comedian and producer — and Jonathan Groff, who also serves as the showrunner of Everything’s Trash. Tiny Reparations, led by Jose Acevedo, serves as non-writing co-executive producer along with co-executive producer Chioke Nassor who directed the show’s pilot. The series is also produced by ABC Signature. It premieres on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 10:00 PM with back-to-back episodes.

On July 11, 2022, I had the pleasure — and I do mean the pleasure, based on how warm, funny and energetic she was towards me — of speaking with Phoebe Robinson via Zoom, as embedded below. More on Robinson and her various projects can be found online by clicking here, here and here.
