Texas Hip Hop Artist DJK brings Summer Vibes With Single ‘No Pretend’

Texas hip-hop artist DJK brings summer in the right way with his visual for “No Pretend”. Shot in Miami Florida, directed by Jeff Adair the fire video sets the tone with boat vibes and good times. The single has already surpassed 200k views on YouTube, making it another viral hit for the stylistic artist. DJK has a combination of rnb influence with raw undertones of rap. Heavily influenced by Prince, T.I, 50 Cent and other various artist he creates modern melodies with classic beats.

DJK was born in Tyler Texas, but has lived in other states throughout his career. Being exposed to different regions allowed DJK to experiment with different sounds. Describing his personal style as a “combination of hard raps, dope melodies and dope production” he produces textured and indulgent tracks any music enthusiast will love. Using his family as inspiration, DJK aspires to connect all generations with his trailblazing sound. Since 2013 he’s released several albums, including his latest release “Stay Out The Way”. Over the years DJK has taken time to develop his craft while staying true to his authenticity. Currently independent, his mother and brothers have become his management team, supporting him along his musical journey.

DJK is also working on releasing another album entitled “Arranged, Composed and Performed by DJK”. A project that will dive into his creativity as an artist and composer.
