1punch. Notches Ireq’s 2nd hit song

Ireq Savage is a artist, audio engineer, & video editor from Dallas, TX but currently lives in Orlando, FL. The focus of his art is to express himself through a variety of songs that encapsulates his human experience.

Ireq’s newest hit single “1punch.” Is yet another banger with Kosovo native producer Areo. Areo and Ireq have been working on an album called Divine Water, which 1punch. Is the second single from it.

1punch. was actually requested to Areo. Ireq wanted another heavy song to go on the project and he wanted it to be punk rap screaming trap banger. Areo gifted Ireq with an email for potential beats to address this need. As per usual, Ireq began writing this banger while driving on the highway. Most of the scream rap parts were worked out in the car underneath the confused gaze of other people on the highway. “At a stop light I was screaming the hell out of one part and look to my right and see this old lady with her mouth completely on the floor, confused as hell by what I was doing,” Ireq stated in a chuckle.

Most of the rapping parts were worked out while recording in the booth. After a rough of the song was recorded, Ireq brought in 2 ol friends from college and longtime collaborators, Mix/Master Engineer Eli S. Oyola & Ben Stewart to help get this song to its final form. Eli also had master engineer duties on Ireq’s other hit single “New Car”. After introducing Eli & Ben to Areo, together the 4 have been working as an artist/producer/engineer team to finish the forthcoming album, Divine Water, that 1punch. is on.
