Aston Martin Toasts New DB12 During Cannes Film Festival
Aston Martin raised a toast to herald the arrival of its next generation of sportscars with the dazzling debut of the new DB12 at a glamorous premiere near Cannes, France. Queen Latifah was among the entertainment royalty on hand for the exclusive unveiling, describing herself as an Aston Martin fan and owner who is excited about the new ultra-luxury offering.
The illustrious Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, nestled along the serene French Riviera, served as the perfect setting for Aston Martin’s spectacular newcomer to steal the spotlight during the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival.
To commemorate Aston Martin’s 110th anniversary, a distinguished gathering of 110 esteemed guests from the realms of entertainment, sports, arts, and business convened to witness the unveiling of a new automotive icon. The evening was further enlivened by captivating live performances from the multi-award-winning British singer and actress Rina Sawayama, as well as the internationally renowned DJ Peggy Gou.
The happening drew a constellation of cinematic luminaries, including Academy Award winners Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas, and Leonardo DiCaprio, whose mesmerizing performance in Flower Moon has captivated critics at the Cannes Film Festival. Other notable actors in attendance included Kate Beckinsale, Tobey Maguire, James Marsden, and James Bond actor Jeffrey Wright.
The star-studded guest list extended beyond the realm of film, with Grammy Award-winning rapper, singer, and actress Queen Latifah and American singer-songwriter Adam Lambert gracing the event. The world of fashion was also well-represented, with prominent models Winnie Harlow, Lais Ribeiro, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Poppy Delevingne in attendance.

Coinciding with the week of the Monaco Grand Prix, Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso were present to catch the first glimpse of this new performance model, which proudly joins the illustrious 75-year-old DB bloodline of exceptional British sportscars. The two drivers, aiming to continue Aston Martin’s impressive start in the 2023 F1® World Championship, currently hold second place in the Constructor’s Championship.
Expressing his excitement, Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin, stated: “The launch of DB12 not only marks the beginning of our next generation of sportscars but also represents a significant step forward in our vision to establish Aston Martin as the world’s most desirable British ultra-luxury performance brand.”

The proceeds from this auction will contribute to the Foundation for AIDS Research, a cause dear to the late Elizabeth Taylor, who co-founded the foundation.
