Sasha Atlas Submerges Into Greatness With New Song “If I Drown”

Emerging singer/songwriter Sasha Atlas follows up her latest single, “Heaven,” with her exciting new love song, titled “If I Drown.” The intriguing title is a love song that sails the endless ocean. Produced by Konstantin Korsakov, the song arrives as the summer heats up and late-night flings begin to blossom during long walks on the beach overlook the ocean across the world. The song’s love letter stares into abyss in search of affirmation.

Exhibiting a familiarity between love and the ocean, Atlas details the deep love she shares for someone while watching the tide as she sings, “That night when I got pulled to sea / Got swept away somewhere too deep / Was going down, I couldn’t breathe / I begged the waves to bring you to me / I looked in your eyes / It was like fighting the tide, fighting the sky / With just one look I knew my hands were tied / But you won’t let me go down.”

The concept behind “If I Drown” stems from Atlas transitions during the pandemic, she explained:

“When I lived and worked in New York, my life was so uptight and overwhelming. I was underwater and I needed to get out. During the pandemic, I moved to Florida to try to slow down and breathe. That’s not what was in store for me though. Instead, I was met with a city, and with a person, that took my breath away. ‘If I Drown’ is a love letter to Miami and to the feeling of being so head over heels for someone that you worry you’ll lose yourself.”

“If I Drown” follows Sasha’s recently released EP, On Fire. And with “Heaven” and “If I Drown” performing phenomenal, it won’t be long for fans both new and old to long for a full-length album by the rising star, which is currently in the works. Until then, Sasha Atlas plans to release more new music.
